Health and Wellness Copywriting

Medical Content Marketing by Nia Stevens

Your business is finally off the ground, and it’s taking a lot out of you!

You’re pulled in many directions.

Your time is limited.

You’re distracted from improving your offerings.

You’ve taken all the clients you can find.

And the thought of growing your audience is

  • Tiring,

  • Time-consuming,

  • Draining,

  • and Anxiety inducing – if not terrifying.

After 18 years of running my own tutoring company and music studio, I’m painfully aware of how hard it can be to market your business.

When I stopped tutoring, I swore I would never again run a business without getting help from experts.

It would have saved me so much time, stress, and money!

Imagine what it would be like to…

Reduce the stress of promoting yourself.

Get paid for every minute of your workday.

Pick potential clients from a waitlist.

Specialize in your favorite type of work.

Charge more money for your services.

Generate passive income.

Spend more time with the people you love most.

If any of this sounds good, then you need a copywriter!

What is a health and wellness copywriter?

A copywriter is a professional who writes the customer-facing text for your business. A health and wellness copywriter specializes in creating campaigns for health-related topics like fitness, nutrition, mental health, and medicine.

When you see a button that says "learn more," "buy now," "try this," or "get your free download," you're encountering a "Call to Action" or CTA.

Inspiring action is the copywriter's goal.

Compelling copy takes the form of:

  • Blog posts,

  • Email marketing,

  • Landing pages,

  • Social media posts,

  • Product descriptions,

  • Website copy,

  • Direct response strategy,

  • eBooks,

  • Pamphlets,

  • Digital gifts,

  • And more!

Hi! My name is Nia.

As a freelance health and wellness copywriter with a strong medical background, I have many different tools to connect you with your ideal clients. Whether through blogs, emails, websites, or other content marketing, we can work together to communicate to your ideal audience how your company can improve their lives.

Then, we inspire those leads to take action!

Why does my business need a medical copywriter?

Copywriting is an essential investment for a company of any size. No business can thrive without comprehensive marketing strategies

getting its message to customers, and no comprehensive marketing strategies . You need copy on your website, weekly blogs, monthly newsletters, Black Friday email campaigns, and much more.

Do you have the time to write all that text?

Every business can benefit from hiring a professional wordsmith specializing in projects like yours. Here are three reasons why:

1. Industry Knowledge

Obviously, one of the best characteristics of any experienced copywriter is logical writing skills. However, an industry-specific copywriting expert can do far more than write the text. You need a copywriter who understands industry standards, enjoys your niche, keeps up with changes in the market, and is a pleasure to work with.

2. Scientific Competency

The ideal copywriter has relevant experience writing copy and a strong background in the subject matter they're writing about. Medical copywriting focuses on medical moral principles and scientific research. It focuses on marketing to other professionals within the industry. A health and wellbeing copywriter studies clinical information and converts it into content fit for the masses. Either focus requires professional exposure to medicine and a strong background in natural sciences.

3. Content Marketing Chops

A qualified freelance health and wellness copywriter knows content marketing. This top-notch writer is familiar with marketing in medicine, holistic health, fitness, biotechnology, and related fields. These qualifications are not only great ways to ensure quality content, but they also help content reach your target audience.

It can be hard to find good writers. And in health and wellness especially, your writer should know everything about your company—from conducting quality research to portraying your brand in the appropriate tone and voice.

About

I have always been an overachiever, motivated by long-term goals, mastery of new skills, and improving the lives of others. My copywriting journey began in 2003 when I started writing for my first business. I was 12 and had been building computers and writing HTML websites for several years. The successful marketing of my services as a math tutor and piano teacher resulted in local theater companies and performance venues seeking me out for help with advertising.

At age 14, I graduated from high school and immediately started full-time college at The College of Idaho (then called Albertsons). I had a passion for music, having already mastered nine different instruments and received eight years of vocal instruction. Scholarships funded my dual degree in Music Theory and Creative Writing, which I completed in 2010.

After earning my BA, I enrolled at Boise State University to pursue further education in Biochemistry, Mathematics, and Education. My goal was to become a medical professor who writes textbooks. The university employed me as a dormitory resident assistant and a fitness instructor and personal trainer in the athletic department.

Throughout my studies, I continued to tutor and teach private music lessons. My inbound marketing skills led to a successful six-figure tutoring business, which I ran with my husband until my diagnosis of narcolepsy with cataplexy in 2017.

Today, my husband is a high school humanities teacher, and we have two small children with a third on the way. My family keeps my mind sharp with debates about philosophy, economics, and Paw Patrol. To recharge, I run marathons in the mountains of central Idaho.

Personally and professionally, I am constantly learning and expanding my skills. I love learning about new businesses, brainstorming innovations, and discussing health and wellness. I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
